Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Auburn Christian Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. ACC members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.

Missions Outreach

Auburn Christian Church is not only involved in giving, but also in building prayer support and sending missionaries around the world.  Just recently, ACC sent out Eli & Sheena Davidson to work in Romania.  They continue to seek to aid God’s work around the world.  Here are some of the missions and ministries we support, both in the U.S. and in foreign countries:

Eli & Sheena Davidson:  Eli & Sheena served at ACC from 2007 to 2011 as our youth minister and church secretary.  They left for Romania in July of 2011.  You can hear more about what God is doing thru them on Eli’s blog which is linked above.

For God’s Children International:  FGCI has been reaching out to meet the needs of children in Romania and the U.S. since 1995.

Camp of the Good Shepherd:  Formerly known as Camp of the Risen Son, this camp is owned and operated by FGCI and is doing some great things to reach out to and connect students in Nebraska and Iowa.

Deaf Missions:  A ministry based in Council Bluffs, Iowa, that reaches out to deaf people around the world.

Nebraska Christian College:  Nebraska Christian College has been training young men and women in ministry for more than 60 years.  NCC is located in Papillion, Nebraska.

Alpha Christian Children’s Home:  This is a ministry to help children in need located out of Perry, Kansas.

Worship

Our church has a great group of worship leaders and music volunteers, but we are always looking for more!  We are always in need of more singers, piano players, guitar players and drummers.  If you are interested in using your musical talents to praise God, please contact our Associate Minister Nate Powell, who oversees our worship teams.

Media & Technology

ACC is currently in need of several people who can help us with our sound system, video projection system, and video recording system.  We could also use people who possess knowledge of website/video streaming, which is a technology that we are seeking to implement in the near future.  If you are willing to help in some of these areas, please contact Nate Powell, Associate Minister.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God.  Auburn Christian Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Chain, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.  If you want to be a part of our prayer team, contact Pat Jarvis.

Camp Counselors

Each summer, Auburn Christian Church wants to see our kids at Christian Camps in the Summer.  There are currently two camps that we have sent kids to.  The one we have sent the most students and volunteers to is in Louisville, Nebraska:  Camp of the Good Shepherd.  We have also sent some students to Nebowa Christian Camp in the past.  We would love to have you share your gifts and talents with our area camps.
