Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Information

Auburn Christian Church is a drop-off site for OCC Shoeboxes this year! You can pick up a shoebox to fill here, use your own, or create one online. Bring your filled shoebox to ACC by Sunday, November 14. People from all over the area will be dropping off Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes by coming in our basement doors the week of November 15-22, 2021. The hours open for drop-off are:
Mon, Nov. 15: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Tue, Nov. 16: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Wed, Nov. 17: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Thu, Nov. 18: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Fri, Nov. 19: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Sat, Nov. 20: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Sat, Nov. 20: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Sun, Nov. 21: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Mon, Nov. 22: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts-filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items – and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received. OCC hopes to collect enough shoebox gifts to reach 9.7 million children in 2021.
During National Collection Week (Nov. 15-22, 2021), we will collect the shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items and fun toys, such as dolls or soccer balls here at ACC! Learn how to pack a shoebox, view gift suggestions, and get your Follow Your Box label at the display in our sanctuary or at samaritanspurse.org/occ. Do not include candy; toothpaste; used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; seeds; chocolate or food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items, such as snow globes or glass containers; or aerosol cans.
Participants can donate $9 per shoebox gift online through Follow Your Box and receive a tracking label to discover its destination.
You can even conveniently build a box online for $25 through November 30th by selecting gifts matched to a child’s specific age and gender, then finish packing the virtual shoebox by adding a photo and personal note of encouragement. These boxes built online will be sent to some of the hardest to reach places, areas that are resistant to the Gospel.
