Nate Powell // Lead Pastor

Nate joined the staff at ACC in 2011 as the Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship, and shifted into the role of Pastor at ACC in June 2019. He preaches each Sunday, and oversees our Middle School and High School ministries. He is an alumni of Nebraska Christian College (BA in Missions, 1996) and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MTS in Preaching/Pastoral Care, 2016). He has served churches in the area of youth ministry for nearly two decades. Nate has been married to his wife Jodi since 1994, and they have 3 kids: Emma, Grace & Elijah.
 
Nate’s favorite verse is John 15:5:
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”

Janell Johnson // Office Manager

Janell became our office manager in 2012. She answers the phones at the church, spends lots of time in prayer and tries to keep everything on track.. Janell has called Nemaha County her home for her whole life and loves serving the Lord and the people of our community and church. Janell has been married to Chip since 2004, and together, they share 6 kids, 14 grandchildren, 2 dogs and a parrot.
 
Janell’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:13:
“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

Emily Andrews // Worship Intern

Emily is excited to be serving as ACC’s worship intern for the summer of 2019. Emily is a sophomore at Nebraska Christian College and is studying Worship Arts. She loves connecting with God through music and through being outside in nature. She is passionate about creating an atmosphere of worship where people can encounter the Holy Spirit, which is why she feels called to worship ministry. Make sure you say hello and get to know Emily this summer!
 
Emily’s favorite verse is Matthew 6:34:
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”
